Based on the Open Source Software SUMO a traffic simulation software was created to get a picture of real-time traffic state.
The aim of this project is to get a picture of real-time traffic state in Upper Austria. It is based on the Open Source Software SUMO (“Simulation of Urban Mobility”) which is a traffic simulation software developed by the German Aerospace Center. The collected data comes from several sources like road-building constructions, floating car data (FCD), GPS positions, illustrates the current traffic state and estimates the required travel time.
