The output is a digital platform where informal competences, reached through voluntary work, are listed.
Voluntary work is a significant topic in today’s time when refugees and older people need somebody to help them. The required assistance ranges from the social sector to education and disaster management. It is often a place of informal and lifelong learning named “learning by doing”. Besides engagement in Non-Profit-Organizations (NPOs), informal voluntary work gets more important, e. g. mutual help in the neighbourhood. For that reason, the digital use of one’s competences is a challenge for the volunteer sector, as well as for the labour and educational market. The aim of the project is therefore to create a digital platform where informal competences, reached through voluntary work, are collected. Based on transparent stability, specific voluntary “Digital qualification passes” are derived. This principle is also used to create a specific incentive system to motivate volunteers.
